Monthly donation vs one-time donations

Making a monthly donation is one of the most strategic ways that you can contribute to this work. Most of the funding comes from grants, sponsorships and one-time donations that do not provide long-term stability for our organization. Regular monthly donations are the best way to ensure Megaphone can continue to grow the vendor program and create employment opportunities for people experiencing poverty. This is also the most convenient way for you to donate. Plus you may pause or cancel your monthly donation at any time. 

Please note: charitable tax receipts for donations made here are issued through our partners Hope in Shadows Society. Hope in Shadows is a charitable organization creating positive social change for people and communities impacted by poverty and marginalization. Their projects empower, educate, and provide training to low-income people in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and beyond. Hope in Shadows' flagship project is the annual Hope in Shadows photography contest and calendar. Hope in Shadows also works with Megaphone Magazine to do this charitable work.
